Sometimes Japan Post misses the scan upon pickup and the tracking wont pick up till it has arrived in the destination city. Please send us an email if you have any questions about your tracking.

We would love to fulfill all ribbon requests, but unfortunately we receive so many. Each year we commit to a number of projects that receive samples or spooled ribbon. Vendors who wish to use ribbons in their shoots should contact us.

Created in my atelier in Fukuoka, Japan. We are a small family owned and operated store.

Hand wash with pH neutral soap (I use Dr. Bronner's, unscented) and hang to dry. Low iron, as needed. Light fraying may occur on raw-edge pieces, simply snip any loose threads at their source.

When your ribbons first arrive they will either be on spools or folded. All our ribbons are on spools except our crinkle silks and our velvet silk. If your ribbon is on a spool, they are already pressed. However if you need to freshen them up then pull them through hair straighteners on a high setting or under the base of the hotplate of a fairly hot iron. Work in one direction only (the direction the frayed edge is sitting, if you pull it through the other way the fray will stand out much more) holding one end in one hand, the iron in the other. Our crinkle ribbons come hand rolled and unpressed, to allow their full textured appearance to be used. If you wish to press them to have a soft crinkle, just iron normally with a fairly hot iron or hair straightener.

Our silk ribbons are 100% silk and the dyes we use are described by the manufacturer as eco-friendly synthetic dyes which are non-toxic, as determined by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and can be safely flushed through both sewer and septic systems.

As a seller I can't take responsibility for items that are lost or not delivered by the postal services. If the item isn't delivered despite being shipped (this is a really rare occasion), I will fill a claim to the postal services. The claim takes 30 days to be resolved. If the lost package is not delivered within this time, I will only then issue a refund for the lost item.

We accept returns up to 3 days after delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at lademya@decorate.jp. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note, you are responsible for the return shipping cost.
