About the Founder / Hisako Shigeyama

After spending ten years in the wedding industry as a wedding planner, photo stylist, and dress coordinator, Hisako expanded her perspective through professional experience in the United States, where she encountered the world of wedding styling details, heirloom-quality materials, and fine art flat lay photography.

Inspired by the beauty and storytelling found in these creative traditions, she founded Lademya Silks in 2018 with a desire to introduce this aesthetic to Japan.

Today, alongside creating hand-dyed silk ribbons and spun cotton creations, she carefully selects antiques, styling pieces, and other treasured objects that celebrate beauty, craftsmanship, and meaningful expression.

Through Lademya, she hopes to inspire artists, photographers, stylists, and collectors who find joy in surrounding themselves with beautiful things.
